Savings

She may be famous but Kate Garraway tried to look after her husband the best she could for 4 years due to covid and now has to sell her SECOND home to pay off debts of over £8 hundred thousand for his care plus the tax man is chasing her for money because a company owned by her late husband collapsed
Myself I had modest savings but had to find nearly £2500 a month to pay for carers for Yvonne. Just been reading about our boat people who have been issued with over 1 million HC2 forms over 5years which entitles them to free prescriptions health care dentists opticians etc. They have not paid a penny into the system and get every thing, Is it worth having savings or should we all live off the state

It makes my blood boil
They get free treatment and access to a dentist.

I know a lot of British people who can't even get access to a dentist. And if they do they have to pay for the treatment!

I'm Tthhhhick, Tthhhhick, Tthhhhick, up to here! ....... said Freddie (parrot-face) Davies, years ago.

Anyroadup, the government (not the Labour party, the government) is directing local authorities to house asylum seekers as part of a strategy to move away from using hotels for temporary accommodation. This involves implementing a 'full dispersal model' (get rid of 'em by mixing 'em in) where all local authority boroughs become dispersal areas and asylum seeker allocation is proportionate to population size. This shift aims to ensure a more equitable distribution of asylum seekers across the country and reduce reliance on hotels.

This is what the government released to assist asylum seekers!
