Joan Whittle R.I.P.

Just received this email.... If anyone knew this lady.

Good afternoon Ron.
My mum was a massive fan of this site. She was hugely in to ancestry and local history. She was a true wiganer (goose green). Sadly she passed away just over a week ago. I would be grateful if you could mention or post something on Wigan World. I have attached a picture of my beautiful mum.

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the funeral details for Joan.
Sadly on the 9th June 2025 in the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, aged 77.
The funeral service will be held at Wigan Crematorium Chapel on Thursday 26th June 2025 at 12noon.

I don't know the lady, may she rest in peace. It's never easy for a family to come to terms with the loss of a loved one, especially your mum.
