IT iphone baffler

While I was camping for the last couple of days, I always phone home so So Mrs Plum knows I'm not getting into any mischief and both our phones work as they should but when she text me on the Sunday , It never came,
So on my return she asked. why I did answer and I showed my phone to prove it never came then, out of curiosity, I sent a text to my fone from hers and, That did't go either,

why would that be ?

I've since found out where those text went but, I'm not sure why ?

No Slaps, I'll tell you the rest of the tale now, last year I was feeling left behind by all the new techmolliegee and so bought a iphone 13 and put my old iphone 7 in a drawer for in case it was needed,
So when Mrs plums phone (a iphone 6) seemed to be , not working proper, I thought to re commission my old phone and give it to her,
I took it out of the drawer charged it and found, the message on that phone, there is no sim card in it so it must have received the texts via iphones own system,

Now i can understand that it might do that if, I'm off grid but, the second text I send for a test , I was home but it went to a , turned off phone in a drawer when mine was on the same table, ?

No, Tom. It's that pesky AI again! I'm sure my computer at work is infested with it as it has a mind of its own.

I've never had any training on IT but now, we are forced to use it, and its a trap, the scammers know this and they aim their scams at us, I still use cash when ever I can and if the shop dont take cash, I walk away from that shop,
cash will always be King in my time on earth,

Sorted, My Son in Canada told me straight off, He said check the WIFI settings to Mum's fone and sure enough, It was't connected to the WIFI so the fone, crafty little beggar was using the iphones OS to sent it,

Told you it was that pesky AI again.
