Isle of Man TT 2025

Poor weather has caused delays to schedule up to now.
Nonetheless, a 133 mph qualifying lap has been put in by Dean Harrison on a Honda.
Ashton in Makerfield rider, Rob Hodson, has put in the fastest Supertwins lap at 119.5 mph on a Paton.
Today's qualifying has been cancelled due to poor weather. Try again tomorrow (Friday), but it's not looking good!

You really have to be at the side of the road to appreciate the speed of these riders (unbelievably skilled nutters) a 133mph lap may not mean much to the average Joe but just watch a video on You Tube if you have never been to the IOM but even then you don't get the noise, warp speed and wind rush of just being there. It's a spectacle you will remember for the rest of your life.

I've been to the IOM a few times and I've never known bad weather there, so it must be bad.
There'll be a lot of disappointed bikers if they can't race.

You must be lucky Mollie cos, wet weather has always been a curse with cancelled races but, Safety is paramount and the crowds always enjoy it no matter what,,

Well, we always went in August, and was never let down by the weather.
Replied: 29th May 2025 at 22:08

Mollie the TT races are always the last week in May and the first week in June, I'm bitterly disappointed in ITV4 for not giving coverage as they normally did of events and history,
In August/September are the classic bike meetings and Senior races, Which are just as well attended but, The TT races are what the guys like to win,,

I've never been remotely interested in MOTOR BIKES. I have only ever been on one once, as a passenger. However I do like watching the T.T. races. Up to last year, I had never been to the IOM. A friend's relative, who lives there, met up with us and took us around the T.T. course in his car. It was a thrill to actually see the places that I had only seen on TV. I'll be watching this years T.T. now with added interest.

Slaps, I don't know why but, for as many years as I can remember ITV4 showed 1 hour program of history and current events for the practice week and during the race week showed all the updates and highlights of the days racing,
Up to now they are not showing anything,

9pm ITV4 Starting Sat and all week.

Cancelled again today due to deteriorating weather conditions.
Earlier today, Rob Hodson was 8th fastest in Superstock (127mph lap) qualifying and 6th fastest in Superbike (126mph lap) qualifying.

and once again the first race is cancelled due to the rain, Its a bad situation for all concerned, It means some races will not take place and ALL the visitors will get short changed but, They all will enjoy the atmosphere and friendliness that is part and parcel to the IOM TT weeks,

Today's Superbikes 10.45am start has been delayed until 11.00am, due to oil on course.
On top of that, Sidecars have been shortened to 2 laps (they won't like that!) and, to cap it all off, bad weather is expected to arrive at 5.00pm! (what a surprise?)

Dave Todd took the 1st place with Micky Dunlop 2nd and Dean Harrison 3rd,
Well done to all that finished, Its the greatest free show on Earth, No tickets needed to watch, just get there, pick a spot to view from and enjoy the atmosphere and friendship from all the bikers from all round the world,
There s nothing else like the TT races and long may it live,,,

Allthough the tt can be a spectacle, I prefer to take part rather than watch. Watching does nothing for me. If I do have to watch, which isn't often nowadays, I prefer the short-circuit club races. They are real races, rider against rider, bike against bike, not against the clock.
That said, I've rode on the Isle of Man circuit, but not in competition, and I would've liked to have had a proper go at it when I was younger.
