MINI SERIES

Started by: mollie m (8613)

Have any of you watched any? I’ve watched a few and the best I’ve ever watched is Stephen King’s The Stand from 1981, which slightly differs from the book, but all the better for it in my opinion. It is absolutely brilliant about a post-apocalyptic event where only 1% of the human population survives due to immunity from a bacterial plague accidentally released from a containment building.

If you’ve watched any, which has been your favourite that you will watch again? These are some that I’ve watched and thoroughly enjoyed:

A Woman of Substance starring Jenny Seagrove
Kane & Abel starring Peter Strauss
The Life & Loves of a She Devil starring Julie T Wallace & Dennis Waterman

I haven't watched The Stand although I have read the book, along with many more of Steven Kings books.
I might see if I can find the mini series though.
I have, however watched

A Woman of Substance starring Jenny Seagrove
Kane & Abel starring Peter Strauss
The Life & Loves of a She Devil starring Julie T Wallace & Dennis Waterman
I really enjoyed all of those.

Jathbee, I will try my best to put a link on here for you for the video of The Stand that I watch, as it's the best one out of several that have been cut.

Ah, managed it: It is very long though, in four parts, each being 1½ hours long, so when you've watched as much as you can, make a note of the timeline you're up to. Just a suggestion.
