Squire John Radcliffe and Ralph Darlington

Hi. I'm researching the estate of Squire John Radcliffe, a direct descendant of the original Manor of Radcliffe, Lancashire. He was one of the branch of the Radcliffes of Leigh. In 1917-18, Evelyn Darlington wrote of the family's history and connection to Leigh.

John Radcliffe of Wigan; Thomas Hayward Radcliffe of Linacre, and John Radcliffe of The Grove, Leyland, are my main family members of interest.

In 1858, John Radcliffe's estate let a tenancy in Radcliffe, and Ralph Darlington was named contact. I believe this would be the Ralph Darlington, Solicitor, Town Clerk and twice Mayor of Wigan.

I'm looking to trace estate and family records of the Radcliffe's of Leigh; and it would be lovely to connect to the family of Darlingtons, too.
