Parry's residing in Wigan in early 1800's

Started by: parryjm52 (1)

I will be visiting Wigan in early July 2025 for 1 day in order to conduct genealogy research. According to my records, Edward Parry/Perry was born in Liverpool in 1782 and died in Wigan in 1848. He married a Rebecca Sayer in 1805 in Wigan. They had 7 children. The first child was Peter born 1808 in Wigan. I assume the other 6 siblings were also born in Wigan.

I'm trying to trace the Parry family foward in collecting genealogy documents (Birth, Marriage & Death) as far forward as I can to see if I can find any Parry's relatives that may be related to me, which can them assist me in looking for earlier Parry ancestors that came from Holywell Wales.

The Edward Parry living in Wigan had a father named Peter (1857), who came to Liverpool from Wales and drowned off the docks in Liverlpool around 1818. Peter's father was named Edward Parry born around the 1730's in Wales. I have been unable to link my Peter Parry (1757) to Edward Parry (1730).

I'm hoping there is someone who reads this post and is doing genealogy in Wigan that my be able to help me capture more relavent documents about the Parry's living in Wigan or anywhere else they may have lived in England.

I also plan to spend 1 day before arriving in Wigan to do genealogy research in Liverpool for the Parry's.

Regards,
James Parry (currently resides in Arizona USA)
