Believe it or not, all the balls shown below are the same colour!

What creates the illusion of three different colours

Strange thing is, may be all of us won't see the same colour of balls in the image.

That's because they're overlaid with stripes of the same colours as the balls which creates a visual deception.

and the stripes change colour over the balls,

In a way, Tom, but that's because the stripes over the balls match colour. Look closely.

So what is the actual colour of the balls ?

Probably white, Tom, otherwise the visual effect would be different - I fink!

If you notice, the balls are only covered by their own matching colour - no other colour touches them.

BUT don't forget, we are assuming the Tonks is telling us the truth, How do we know he's not on one of his ' I learned this from a mon dawn't pit' theories ?
