Why do houses with migrants in them never open their curtains .Is it because of too many people living in the house.Are they ashamed of the condition of the house..

They are probably frightened of being recognised as immigrants, and fear repercussions from the locals, they may have been advised by the authorities to lie low and not draw attention to themselves, in other words it is because they are frightened.

Yep, they're often targets for bullies, and bigots, so that could be a reason.

There are no houses here with migrants in them, whether the curtains are open or not!

On the other hand locals could also frightened of who they are, what country they have come from, why they are here and what they may be planning to do behind their closed curtains.

Oh, and the bigots are not always the locals!
