Brogans butchers at Bryn closed down due to retirement and the shop was sold. It is going to be -----Wait for it---yet another Vape shop How do they sustain making a living with so many vape shops or are they like the many barbers shops just a front for other illegal practises

Not many local butchers left now. There's an Englands butchers in Billinge and Pemberton, one just lower down from the Library at Half Way House. But they are the only local ones that I know of.

There's one near me in Benissanet. He specialises in Wild Boars and Hares.

He works from the side of his house!

Talking of butchers, anybody know a good place to get game meat locally? Venison, rabbit, pheasant.

My wife is very impressed with the size of the Spanish farmers' sausages and the prospect of filling my face with the farmer's wife's Hare Pie doesn't half make my mouth water !
