, FINALLY, Two brothers have appeared in court charged assaulting police at Manchester Airport, before an officer was filmed stamping on a suspect's head.

Footage of the brawl at the airport's Terminal Two building on 23 July was widely shared online.

Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, and Muhammed Amaad, 25, both from Tarnside Close in Rochdale, are alleged to have assaulted Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers during the incident.

Both men gave no indication of pleas before magistrates and the case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court on 13 February.

One of them has one charge, the other has four charges. All charges relate to offences which can be clearly seen on video recordings. And they've both pleaded "not guilty"!?

I reckon if you plead NOT GUILTY and then found to be GUILTY your sentence should be doubled.

They'll get no reduction in sentence. I reckon, going off the video evidence, the one who threw a wobbler and attacked the officers will be looking at 1 to 4 years inside. Let's face it, multiple blows on three officers counts as a sustained attack, especially as one officer, at least, got a broken nose and another got a thick lip.
The lesser charged one might get a community order.
Is anybody doing a book?
