I don't know whether 'failed politician' is the correct label for him LINK everybody has ups and downs in their careers, and the CAZ charge he was bringing in, I thought would do a lot of damage to businesses in Greater Manchester and I was very glad when Boris stepped in and stopped him doing it.

He managed to get to the bottom of the Hillsborough disaster police cover up, and that was after being chanted at Anfield by the relatives of the Hillsborough victims, he said he would do it, and he did it.

I am a bit biased in favour of him now, because thanks to him and him alone, we have this marvelous new road, Westwood Way, which I thought I would never see built

As Mayor of Greater Manchester as he done well ?

That remains to be seen, there was the CAZ debacle, but I do like his Bee Network, I like it a lot.

Would he make a better Prime Minister than Kier Starmer ?

He is like any politician could not lie straight in his bed. Only the other day was going to raise the precepts of the council rates for the none existent police which we never see

The police are non existed because they cannot get enough people to do the job because of some of the many things that they now have to deal with compared to the past and spending their time on things like attending football matches in numbers to prevent the "supporters" from attacking each other while crime inceases because of their limited numbers.

Gone have gone the days of George Dixon and PC49 walking around the streets, armed with a small trunchon.

As for Burnham, he can't be any worse than Starmer, Sutak, Johnson, Tuss, Blair, Brown, Callaghan etc

Football clubs have to pay for policing. They also wanted walking days to pay for it and that is why there are none now.

OC we see in the media groups of police stood around at an incident doing nothing. Last week I went to the Middlebook Shopping Centre and De Haviland road was closed due to an incident on the Motorway Why De Haviland road was closed when the incident was on the motorway I don't know There were cones out with closed signs near to the Motorway slip road but also three police cars blocking the road was this not a waste of police officers who could have been dealing with some thing else .Maybe one car one officer because you always get some idiot who the closed signage and cones don't apply to them

The football clubs may be paying for any policing, but the fact remains that while the police are keeping the idiot football supporters apart, they are not dealing with the real crime taking place at the same time!

POLICE everywhere.. I came off the Latics game 5 minutes early last Saturday I went over the WHITE BRIDGE over the canal There were police EVERYWHERE I must have seen over a hundred just around the bridge area. As well as numerous Police vans parked near the entrance to what was Walmsley's. I beileve that Football clubs only pay for the police which are on the actual ground and that any police that are located in the close proximity are paid by the tax payer? Can anyone confirm this?
