The first child was a boy born Friday, 13 February 1978, but died 3 hours later.
The second child was a boy born on Friday, 13 June 1980.
Third was due to be born a girl on Friday, 13 August 1983, but we asked the doctor to deliver it a day early on August 12 1983.
All were born in Gleneagles Hospital Singapore.

Of course it's just another day on the calendar, but unlucky 13 has its origins in religion, especially Friday 13th. It shouldn't matter to anyone, but I've heard some people don't go out of the house on such a date. It's just a silly superstition.
Anyroadup, Tonker, I hope you had a boneless fish for your tea.

I've had sausages, brocoli, beans and sweet potato instead!
As for the number 13, when I raced motorbikes, there was never a race 13 in the programme (it was always listed as Race 12A) nor was number 13 allocated to any rider.
On Ryanair planes, there is no row 13 seats.

I hope you didn't mean baked beans with your tea, otherwise you'd have taste buds like Tom's.
As for the races, I can well believe that. The Americans are particularly superstitious and have no 13th floor in high rise flats, and lots of other things.
A lot of folk don't walk under ladders, or step on a crack on the pavement etc. It's all stuff and nonsense unless a No 13 bus runs over yer head on Friday the 13th!

During my days on building sites, there was never a plot 13, The sales/marketing people thought people would't buy them.

Daft in'it!
Other unlucky things are spilling salt, and a black cat crossing your path. Well, I'd best be careful when madam comes back in and she's as black as the night!
Oh, and breaking a mirror as well!
Oh, and Tonker swerving fish in case there was a bone in it!
