Mr Biker, I've been a member here for 18 years, and it was a truly wonderful place to be. There were one or two argumentative types, but they got shut down by Brian if things got too confrontational.

It could be that a lot of the ladies stopped posting on here because of the three stooges that were intent on causing trouble, and I don't blame them, but they couldn't have got rid of me because I'm too stubborn, and they were hard to ignore, but they're gone now!

I think we've all been much happier on here since their dismissal, at least, I know I am, so let's keep it peaceful, respectful, and fun.

The lack of topic's and postings has gone gradually worse since July.

Wigan World has an ageing membership, nothing wrong with that. Younger people migrate to Facebook, tik tok, etc.

Two of the ones to who he refers are still active members. I think everyone knows that Lectriclegs was very poorly, no one knows what happened to him, As for Basil Brush he's still active. Maybe he's not well also. To make comments about someone who maybe is unable to defend their selves is in my mind totally unfair.
As for mollie and her above comment, well what can I say, she contradicts a previous post she made about stardelta.

Which 'idiots' have been made inactive ?

Looking at PAD it appears to have taken the role of general postings for quite some time now. The past few days as an example and all because of the mention of twin tub washing machines.

I agree with you FM.There was also all that rubbish about people being put on ignore when it was obvious their comments were still being read.Any road I hope Basil is OK I used to enjoy his comments.

Been some very nice people on here in the good old days ,,
I come and go as the mood takes me but I admit the ads and logging in (not always succesfully) plus my totally useless attempts to post pics.
I’ll try to do better now winter is here.

After 16yrs caretaking at an OUTSTANDING SCHOOL..I can safely say that teachers are a bunch of lazy beggars with high opinions of themselves...bone idle at looking after their staff kitchen...microwave and oven were always minging...They spent more time putting their tutty on in a morning leaving a sinkful of nasty pots to await their return home...don't attend school for longer than 6 weeks before a holiday is awarded ( note I didn't say work). Average £30.000 + a year... Laughable.

Totally fed up of so called "Desperate" people crying poverty saying their benefits don't cover their food bills etc etc.
1. What goals did you achieve in your lifetime - None.
2. Relied on council housing instead of pulling your finger out and getting on the property ladder
3. Being a 3rd or 4th generation scrounger and leech in our society.
4. If you commit crime ..don't cry about it when you get jailed.
5. If you 'Chose" drugs ..tough...you are a burden on our NHS .
6. If you scrounge outside shops you should be arrested for vagrancy.
7. Hope Starmer follows his manifesto...if you are offered jobs and don't take them...No Benefit money.
8. How do they all have top of the range clothes/mobile phones.
9. We don't need no extra leech's coming in their boats..we have enough here.
10. I won't see the ignored replies .so don't bother.

Since January I’ve posted 30 new topics on here, which is one every couple of weeks. If folk want to read them and reply, they will; if not, they won’t; fair enough, and most all of them have had good responses.

You quoted my post entirely out of context. It was not contradictory. I’d also said that StarDelta should have at least been given a warning; my opinion, but I wasn’t defending him. That was after he was banned, and Admin removed the topic. He was always respectful to me, and that was the truth, but I also said he was “confrontational and disagreeable at times” which he was. I also said that I hoped Lectriclegs was okay, even though to my knowledge I never conversed with him, and I never mentioned Basil Brush at all, ever, but he too enjoyed an argument.

Are you making a habit of copying every comment I make? You’ve been a bit chippy with me on a few occasions now, which I’ve ignored, and you’ve also been very nice to me, but don’t you think it’s a bit weird that you can quote me verbatim on a topic that was removed months ago? I do.

I didn’t register as a member on here 18 years ago to make enemies because there’s no point, being as none of us will ever meet in person. I’ve never been unkind to anyone on here, never caused an argument, but I have given well thought out opinions, which are mine, and mine alone. I have also been a bit thoughtless at times as well, but I never said I was perfect.

If there are folk that wish to stir up bad feelings, let them, but just don’t respond to them. Don’t feed the trolls, as they thrive on it. You hear me, Mr Biker?
