Just heard report on radio Manchester saying there’s been an increase in accidents with bottles bursting.
Life span is max 3 years.
Chuck on the tip
next to mine which is ancient.

Most hot water bottles will have a big number embossed into them inside a symbol that resembles a daisy. This number shows you the year that it was made, so for example, 15 would mean 2015, and 20 would be 2020.

Yes...very dangerous...they do perish

I remember going on holiday when I was approximately seven year’s old. It was to a holiday camp. The accommodation was very basic wooden huts cold at night. Solution, boil large duck stones then wrap in towels to warm beds up.

In the early fifties when i was a child we always had a brick warmed up in the fireside oven.

When I was young, we were so poor that we didn't have a fireside oven, so we had to take a cold brick to bed with us.
