My new hobby,

Started by: tomplum (13819)

Model boats, On one of my Tom's tours this year, I had a wander round fleetwood and found the Fleetwood model boating club, i was immediately impressed at the boats they had on a man made lake, Trawlers, life boats, tugs and yachts, Because Fleetwood is synonymous with fishing its not surprising that a lot of the ex mariners take up building and sailing these models, I felt the companionship and wanted to join in so, I bought this model Fire boat, it needs some refurbishment and, thats now, on the go , I've got the engine running and steering working , I'm now undergoing work on the , lights, siren , hose pipe sprays and cabin lights, Its my winter project and hoping to join in the fun in Fleetwood next year

Its electric 12 volt motor driven by a variable speed controller , So I only need 2channels from by receiver to drive and guide the boat, I have a ten channel receiver and. that leaves me 8 channels to work,
the boat lights
the siren
flashing blue lights
search lights
deck lights
hose pipe sprayers
tannoy speaker
and
rocket launchers,
