War in the Holy Land.

Started by: Billinge Biker (2775)

It's been going on a while as we all know...I am sort of mystified (Not being religious) That the Pope and all his Cardinals and all those involved with the Catholic church....have not come forward in any way...shape or form to denounce this war in their Holy Land.....have I missed something ?..

????????? The Pope is often condemning it and has called for ceasefire on many occasions.

Tommy tee,

Whats rusty and is chained to the railings of Canterbury Cathedral ?

I don't know but, that reminded me of my trip to Liverpool and a walk along the Albert Dock, I noticed, Thousands apon thousands of rusty old pad locks on the mesh wire and railings on the quay side, Is that something connected to your question and, what does it mean ?

I don't think a RC pope has anything to do with Jews or Muslims

I don’t think the Pope has anything to do with terrorist organisations or military conflict. He’s a Christian leader.
In my opinion, religion plays second fiddle (or less, even) to greed and money. It’s purely co-incidencial that the main war-mongers in the Middle East happen to be Muslims, due to their culture being centuries behind The West, morally.

Every so often Israel gives it's neighbours a good walloping, courtesy of the support it gets from Uncle Sam, some 42yrs ago it kicked off fine style in Lebanon, and Beirut was bombed to bits, and it ended up looking like Gaza does now, and Beirut is now being bombed again, and in 1982 after walloping Lebanon, Israel had a go at Syria too.

So nobody remembers the rusty bike joke

I am sure he meant well, but I think that Terry Waite was a daft bugger to try and negotiate with those kidnappers in Lebanon.
