How bad is the Sports section

There are two grown men on there, One is calling the other Fatty and the other is calling him Pongo this seems to be the thing on there lately It's time this was checked by admin before this infantile thing ruins WW altogether.

I’ve heard about this forum battle between two men on here but, as I never read the Sports Section, I can only surmise. Life can be hard enough as it is without arguing over who can kick a ball the best. There’s something wrong with people who can be so obsessed with something as insignificant as sport.

I’m only guessing now, but if they’re at each other’s throats because of some football team, then all I can say is it’s time to be adults and accept each other’s opinions gracefully; and metaphorically shake hands. Presumably they don’t know each other personally, so what the heck does it matter? More to the point, why does it matter? If that be the case, then it’s time they matured into the old men that they are and not be so childish.

Nastiness has spilled out onto General as well, with racist comments and politics, both of which are against forum rules, and Brian would never have allowed this to go on because it isn’t what he worked on so darned hard to establish when making this site, and you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

No wonder there are fewer ladies posting on here these days. I thought women were supposed to be the catty ones, but I'm obviously mistaken!

Mollie, I’ve never read racist comment on this site. But, that said, it does seem a bit daft making personal comments on here. Does it matter if someone is fat? or if someone doesn’t like work?

I agree, You knew the fat bloke who loved work as well, GB, a plumber on wigan road, he worked all day every day and did foreigners at night and did caravaning at weekends with the family and was never still but, his wife had to hide a joint of meat from him, she'd cook it and put it in the washing machine cos if he smelt it, he was like a bear, he'd eat the whole joint,

there,s at least half a dozen more on the sports section that eggbeater has a go at namely grimshaw , tiger cat , chatty , erling,pyeyta & sammys . he has stated that it,s him in retaliation to comments made to him but the truth is that it,s him that starts it & if anyone has any doubts about this then just look on the sports section & see how many intimidating blogs he,s started just to get a reaction from fans of just 1 club MAN UNITED . he,s been banned at least 6 times on here for various nasty & vile comments under the name of kellys dad, laughing gravy,sergio123,battered sausage to name but a few . he is the sole destroyer of that section & now has the name "site murder" with some on here . maybe you can remember some of those names he,s had on here & make no mistake he is the cause of the ill feeling on here which he,s now spreading on general .

So childish and boring. I very rarely even bother looking at sports now. these boring people should set up a Whatsapp group where they can all trade insults in private and stop boring the rest of us, They probably think they are amusing... yawn.

I have said it before if you just ignore the stupid posters and do not reply to their comments then they will get bored and stop posting but if you react to their postings then they will try to provoke you into posting again.

A example being the question which I asked a while back ie "If you were in need of neccessary or urgent medical tratment and the NHS were only able to offer immediate treatment at a private clinic or hospital, would you accecpt the appointment or would you stick to your principles of not accepting any private treatment" ?

Let's hope the rest of the childish squabblers on General can call a truce so that things can get back to how they used to be. Sensible people having sensible discussions and having a laugh together, as they could before
being driven away by sniping, backbiting and derogatory and insulting comments. What has been nicer than Tom and Mollie's posts this weekend. We need more of this please. No more politics or what's wrong with the world. This could be a place to get away from all that end enjoy each others company.
