Mullets

Started by: AngelWood (1102)

It seems the latest craze amongst you chaps is the resurrection of the 70's mullet haircut. How many of you are brave enough to tell us you had/have one?

Do yourself a favour and go pick at someone else, you won't get a rise out of me by making rude and snide comments. You have your opinions and I have mine, it's allowed in a democracy.

I liked the Mullet in the 1970's but, not every bloke could grow one, anyone can have a crew cut or a short back and sides so, it was a 'show off' style and still is, So ' if ya got it, flaunt it' , My nephew's wife has a , what looks like a mop twisted on her head and cost £400 and also has tattoos, pierced, rings in, nose, ears and unmentionable places but, that's her choice, My sentiments are, The human body is a unique formation in whatever shape , size or colour it comes and its not meant to be tampered with and hair cuts are a temporary tamper , there is only two weeks difference between a good hair cut and a bad un

I never liked mullets on men. I thought they looked too feminine but, styles come and they go.

I'm with Tom as regards "body art" as it's all about drawing attention to oneself. It's a way of saying "look at me, I want YOU to look at ME!" Tattoos are a matter of opinion and mine is that it's body abuse and a way to somehow look tribal. They may look nice and clean when they're done on young skin, but when they get to my age and the wrinkles can't be ironed out, they just look like big ugly bruises. Piercings are horrific, and why people would want to attach lumps of metal to their noses, ears, etc, is beyond me, and the ones on the lips make them look like they have cold sores. Oh well, it's another fashion fad that will eventually fade.

I kinda liked the idea of eye brow pierces because, If you got say, five rings on each eye brow, you could put a plastic rod through them and put a curtain on it to shut them at will and have a kip,
