And buy a woods (Woodland)

Must enjoy dark skies suitable for astral observation, and freedom to view the skies. Vehicular access at least to the proximity required. (Permission for dwelling unlikely in British Woodlands.)
Please let me know if you come across owt suitable. (In addition to UK, also considering Ireland and Portugal)
Have just rejected Low Mill Wood (on the Lune) so need not tell me bowt that un.
Must have locations conducive to minimalist camping.

Catalonia is perfect for forest, access, sky-watching and (last but not least) weather!
I have 2 acres of pine forest, mountain and valley views, perfect black sky at night AND permission to build on 2.5 acres with olive and carob trees.
Added to this is the fact that it costs less to fly there than it does to drive to the south of England!

"Have just rejected Low Mill Wood (on the Lune) so need not tell me bowt that in".
Have you been to see it priscus? Cheap as chips is that. Some nice trees to sling your hammock from. Not far from a spar shop and pub as well.

You have to think, "what can I do with it that I can't do already"?
In that case you get 2.4 acres, the River Lune flows past it but the fishing rights belongs to someone else. You can't build on it either. You can walk through it anyway, without buying £23,000 worth of RESPONSIBILITY!
And it rains most of the time up there!

Pescador? You can fish anywhere on the Ebro, for free! (except for your licence which is €18 a year!)

They would not let me buy Bluebell Woods and live in it, but they had no qualms selling it to a developer, who demolished it and replaced it with a housing estate!

Tonker is correct to warn you

You would need to think about insurance in case someone has an accident on your land

"They would not let me buy Bluebell Woods and live in it ..."
Indeed they would. As long as numerous other people lived in it with you!

As stated, have abandoned any interest in that one on account of the public access!
