the old Langtree garage at Standish

Started by: i-spy (15309)

it's turning into another eyesore. Are there any concrete plans about its future.

It is an eyesore and wants pulling down for re-developement.

It was for sale at £275,000 but the it has been taken off the market. Obviously nobody interested.

Maybe when the economy picks up, someone will start the ball rolling.

A shot in the dark here, i-spy; where you out with the dog this afternoon, near the old Victoria pit and wearing a Hi Viz yellow coat?

not me winder. Me and the dog were at Chisnall Hall checking on how the tree planting is doing..
heard a rumour that McDonalds were looking at the Langtree site for a drive-through.

McDonalds don't look at sites for drive-throughs.

I managed to get this pic of one of them; no safety helmet, no goggles, no hi viz jacket, no gloves and no pocket to keep his pipe baccy. Wants reporting!

Not many will remember the Original Langtree Garage.
an old WW member's (Mick Whitehill) dad used to own it.

Site's nearly ready to start building. Wonder how many houses they'll squeeze on it.

Correction.
Kryten> sign says 3 and 4 bedroom HOMES, they could be big flats, or apartments we should say.
