Wigan Genealogy

My daughter is compiling a family tree & we are short of more information. My maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Hickman, married to William Arthur Hickman, but we would like to check her maiden name. Does anyone know whether it was Martindale? Also trying to find out if my paternal grandfather, Harry Henstead, had a sister named Mary. Would appreciate any information.
