Wigan Genealogy

I am tring to find out info on my grandfather. He was born Leonard Unsworth on Aug. 03, 1909. We have not been able to get any info on his father. His mother was Margaret Fielding, We think his dad's name was James Unsworth. He came to the USA when he was one and was raised under the name of Leonard Liptrot. If there is any one out there that can help that would be great. I've been looking for 5 years now.
