ALKER, John - farming in 1918

Can anyone tell me anything about John ALKER, farming at Chapel Street Farm, Pemberton about 1918?
I believe he had at least 1 daughter, Elizabeth (who never married), and 2 sons, Alf and Edward. It's possible Alf committed suicide after 1936. Any help would be much appreciated.
