MULLIGAN, Mary or Alice - 1846

Looking for info on Mary Mulligan.
If some kind person could locate her on the 1871 census or earlier for me that would be excellent.
She called her self Alice for some reason when she appears on the 1901 census living with her son Patrick Sweeney in Wigan.
