Wigan Genealogy

I'm looking for anyone in the Tither family. In particular anyone that may know of a clock presentation by MBC St Johns Pemberton in September 1916. My hubby is an antique clock collector and after buying a job lot in May 2018 we came across one presented to J Tither by MBC St Johns, Pemberton in September 1916. As several of my ancestors are J Tithe this inspired my family history research. Unfortunately my research has not uncovered the J Tither in question and I am looking for either the J Tither that may have been presented with a clock for whatever reason and failing that, does anyone know what MBC St John's Pemberton may be?? I've been in touch with both the church and the school without success but would love to hear from anyone who may either know the relevant J Tither or who may have made the presentation.
