Wigan Genealogy

I'm trying to gather as much information as I can about a possible ancestor called John Robinson. He had a stage name of 'Ajax' and was reputedly a World champion weightlifter. He was born in Down Patrick, County Down, Ireland in about 1863 and did in Wigan on 19th august 1925. He had a son (my grand dad) called Fred. He was born in Wigan and died in Wigan. He was married to Amelia Brown.
