Looking for family of John Melling, born Wigan 1821,farm labourer, who was sent to Australia as a convict after being stood charged with stealing on the 3rd April 1839, one bottle of British brandy, the property of William Cox, of the Golden Lion, Wallgate. Any assistance would be welcome. Thanks.
