Wigan Genealogy

Looking for info on my Grandad Richard Ascroft/Ashcroft born 1905,10 Turners yard,Smithy Brook(bridge?)pemberton.Father and mother, Richard and Elizabeth(nee Heyes). We think that one of my grandad's sisters(?)married someone called either tomlinson or tompkinson,But do not know the sisters name or even if this is correct.
