Looking for any further details on 23702 Lance Corporal Norman Fearnley Adamson The Queen’s Royal West Surrey Regiment. He was killed by a stray shell whilst in the rest hut in Ieper locality aged only 22, only a year after joining the armed forces on 29/05/1918. He lived at 54 Osbourne Road in Ashton in Makerfield and was the son of John and Sarah Jane Adamson and brother of Harris B Adamson. He was a regular church goer and attended the Congregational Church and Sunday School in Ashton. He worked for Coop and Co Ltd in Coops Mill, Dorning Street Before joining the Army.
