BRENNAN, sarah - 1919-39

Sarah was born January 13th, 1917 in Openshaw, Manchester. All that I know is that she was adopted (but by whom, we don't know) but my father got a letter just before WW11 saying that she was getting married to a Mr. Santus/Santos and then he just got one letter from East 52nd St. in New York. Not sure whether she got married in England. I have tried to find her on the GRO records but as I don't know her adopted surname, I'm stumped. Her sister was adopted and I know her adoption surname but the family was split up and my father was never adopted. He went into a Catholic Home for Boys. I don't know whether any immigration records would demand her original birth surname 'Brennan' or not. I know this isn't much help, but many thanks for trying for me. Best wishes, Lynne Reply
