What’s he doing? He’s not is he?

Comment by: Kathleen Pressey on 24th February 2025 at 08:32

Is that young lad having a wee?

Comment by: wigman31 on 24th February 2025 at 09:00

well if he is, it is multi use afte all, that is until you come to the barrier at Mesnes Park North entrance .

Comment by: frank on 24th February 2025 at 09:26

Why do you think he took the photo Kath

Comment by: Veronica on 24th February 2025 at 09:45

Exactly Frank..
Not that I condone what the lad is doing.

Comment by: Clare on 24th February 2025 at 09:54

I only commented last week about missing Dave Oys photos of the three sisters, Haigh Hall and Pennington Flash that we all loved to wake up to, and now we are left with this.

Is that where they all hang out Mick?

Comment by: Arthur on 24th February 2025 at 11:08

Is he having a "p" ?

Comment by: Colin Traynor on 24th February 2025 at 11:21

Well done Mick, you nabbed the notorious Walkden Avenue Flasher!

Comment by: . Ozy . on 24th February 2025 at 11:29

I think the lad’s actually just talking to his mate who can just be seen behind the post .
If he was doing what you all seem to think he was doing , then he’d only have to walk 50 yards and he’d be around the corner and out of sight , so why would he risk a charge of indecent exposure ?
It doesn’t make sense .

Its time to close the book if these are
The only photos you can come up with.

Comment by: Malc on 24th February 2025 at 12:49

Ozy must have Xray eyes to see through that telegraph pole. Lol.

Comment by: Poet on 24th February 2025 at 13:29

He's got both hands in his pockets . A highly unusual style if he's having a slash ...... I reckon he's waiting for his dog to catch up .

Comment by: Leopardskin Larry on 24th February 2025 at 15:41

If you look at the left hand Edge of the pole, just up from the push button control, you'll see a nose emerging into view. That will be his mate, lagging behind. So, no, he's not having a 'wee', 'pee', 'squirt', 'slash' or 'jimmy wriggle', or whatever you want to call it, he's just saying "gerra moovon thee".

Common practice for folk in these parts. The gentleman appears to be indulging in the traditional Wigin World pastime of... talking to a brick wall.

This is part of the new multi-user path that runs from Standish to Wigan.
It starts on Standish Wood Lane, then you take a left turn towards Wigan Road then turn right following the old Robin Hill trainline and past the Gidlow Washery & WWII air raid shelter
Cross over the farm track that goes to the farm and past the back entrance to Gidlow Cemetery.
You then come out at the top of Gidlow lane, take a left into Dawson Ave cross the road at the new crossing and then down the nick into Barnleys St.
Left turn onto Buckley st. then cross over at this Pad crossing and your into the back entrance of Wigan Park.
All offroad except for a few quiet streets near Gidlow lane.
