Fishy McFishface
Mick , the lad that lived in that end house … the one with the caravan …
I’ve forgotten his name now .
I think he was a taxi driver and he always had a narrow boat moored at the bottom of his garden .
Remember when his car ran down the slope and ended up in the cut ?
Was his name Jimmy ?
I can’t remember buggerall these days , but you’ll know .
Surprised that there is no guard rail and as the decking got rubber mats or metal plating?
Nice one Mick !
That reminds me of the song "Messing about on the river", even though it's the canal. Nice homely sight in the background of someone's washing hung out on the line.....I love to see my washing blowing in our backyard but it's getting to the time of year where it doesn't dry now, sadly.
I know the house Ozy but not the owner.
We have some wonderful walks and views along the many waterways, rivers and streams that flow through our Borough. This is yet another lovely example Mick.
There's a brook called Haigh Beck that joins the Leeds and Liverpool Canal in Apperley Bridge, not far from the marina. The irony of it.
