It’s called rubble.

Which bricks are the historical ones? Are they the ones at the back of the photo and how do they differ from the non historical bricks?

Presume this is the bay platform on the west side.

I spoke to one of the work force last week and he told me that they had uncovered a few old objects, like broken clay pipes, tobacco tins, snuff tins and a broken pocket watch.

Good photo Mick, and if you hadn't put that it was Wallgate station I wouldn't have known, as it's changed beyond all recognition since the last time I was on there.

Why can't commenters just comment on the photo instead of taking swipes at the photographer, leastwise Mick is out and about around town and photographing what is happening and of interest for PaDs.

It's a good job they didn't find any newts, job'd be stopped for months.

Excellent photo Mick and different. This so called rubble ans bricks would have been from the old station buildings demolished during the 1970s.

Mick the Brick.
I say that in a kindly way, nothing like variety, keep it up Mick.
