Very sad, the Police Sargent was stabbed and killed trying to stop a theft stealing from a wagon.

The murder came from Lower Ince.

So tragic to read about.
Not only for Robert Kidd but his poor wife and children. All for thieving anything going. In this case it was only a jar of sweets that was ‘tampered’ with it seemed. So very sad.
Much more to the case though with the all the detective work involved - no technology in those days.
