They look so realistic radio controlled model aircraft.
Expensive toys.

Comment by: Joan on 4th February 2023 at 09:50

Mick I know that pond, did you go to work on one of them ?

Comment by: PeterP on 4th February 2023 at 10:02

I think it was going to land at the country club or one of the bigger houses set back from the lake.

Comment by: Roy on 4th February 2023 at 10:43

Looks like it's about to land at Lake House which has a lot of land at its rear down to the lake with a frontage on Moss Lane.

Comment by: Syd Smith on 4th February 2023 at 11:57

This is a proper action packed photo, a matter of being in the right place at the right time, well done lad.

Comment by: Arthur on 4th February 2023 at 12:15

Didn't Dave Whelan live round there somewhere.

Comment by: DTease on 4th February 2023 at 12:27

Looks like they’re still looking for you Mick.

Comment by: DTease on 4th February 2023 at 12:30

I’ve heard of “Go to work on an egg” Joan, but Go to work on a pond ?

Comment by: Pat McC on 4th February 2023 at 13:05

Lake House used to have its own helipad. Could this be their helicopter just taking off/landing?

Comment by: Wigan Mick on 4th February 2023 at 14:34

Joan, you will know the lady pilot.

Comment by: Wigan Mick on 4th February 2023 at 14:40

Yes Joan been on them many a time, but the ones I used were bigger ones, but I did go on one like this when I went flying down into the Grand Canyon.

Comment by: Roy on 4th February 2023 at 14:49

Arthur Dave Whelan lives at the top of Miry Lane in Parbold.

Comment by: Dick Dastardly on 4th February 2023 at 15:07

Hey up he's talking to himself again .

Comment by: Dave on 4th February 2023 at 16:48

From helicopters to drones ! There are already plans in place for whole swarms of drones on the battlefield! How scary is that . We take from Nature the good but also the bad …. How far we could travel if we didn’t have the need to kill each other !

Comment by: The Milk Tray Man on 4th February 2023 at 17:56

It's HRH Air Miles Andy, he's getting away from it all for a month or so at Hall Lane Lodge, though obviously keep it amongst yourselves.

Probably Dorbcrest family

We-ee ‘rre doomed !

No , seriously !
We ARE doomed … no doubt about it in my mind .

Comment by: . Ozy . on 4th February 2023 at 23:10

I once went on a helicopter flight over Boulder Dam with a lady pilot a few years ago Mick and survived .

I also took my sister-in-law for a driving lesson last week … and If you’d like more information about that , I can be contacted at the severe mental trauma unit at the Coniston house care home in Chorley .

Comment by: DTease on 5th February 2023 at 00:13

I once slid down Wutchie Rook on an old tin tray. Later on in life I did an entire evening drinking nothing but Greenhall’s bitter.
If I had to do one of those two again I think I would slide down the Wutchie.

Comment by: Roylew on 5th February 2023 at 07:20

Probably Dorbcrest family

Comment by: Alan on 5th February 2023 at 16:35

What point is DTease and Ozy making???

Comment by: Edna on 5th February 2023 at 21:46

Well this is how I see it.I think Ozy might be traumatised at having to take a woman for a driving lesson., and Dtease would rather slide down the wutchie than drink Greenhalls bitter.

Comment by: Veronica on 5th February 2023 at 22:58

In other words Edna sliding down the ‘wutchie’ is on par with flying down the Grand Canyon in a helicopter and Ozy thinks teaching a woman how to drive is far more daring than flying a helicopter into the Grand Canyon. So there you go Alan…I might be wrong but the intrepid twosome will let us know
