A wonderful thing to do . Hope she makes it .
Odd things blisters . I once walked the coast to coast without any problems yet managed to get badly blistered on a shortish hike up the Lancaster canal ( probably the easiest and flattest way north ).
I remember Dr. Barbara Moore doing that walk when I was still at Primary School.....I'd completely forgotten about that! Good Luck to you, Lisette.
That one's on my bucket list. Good Luck Lisette :)
You've done it again Mick, what an interesting photo, I've looked up this lady online and can see she is writing a diary on Facebook, her latest entry is when she was walking through Staffordshire.
A mere ‘stretch of the legs’ for the young lady coming from America!
I remember being asked how was Tony Blair after he broke his arm. I was on Rhode Island at the time. The American ‘cousins’ think we know each other intimately being such a ‘small’ island that we live on.
A memory jogger there Irene, Dr Barbara Moore was never out of the news.
1960 Irene, i watched her walk through the centre of Standish on her way to Lands End, she did the walk from John o' Groats in 23 days.
Well done Lisette, all the best.
I think all the people who do this walk do it in summer and with a back up team.
This amazing lady is doing it in mid winter, I think she said it was because her boyfriend had died.
If she is not lucky enough to beg a bed or a shed for the night she sleeps in her tent that she is carrying on her back.
I asked her were did she sleep last night in Wigan, and she said she met someone feeding some horse and they offered her a couch to sleep on.
I said what part of Wigan was that and she said Ince.
Yes her Facebook journey is only up to Staffordshire at the moment, maybe in the next couple of weeks she will be up in Wigan.

Hope she manages it,and good luck to her.
I just hope she stays safe. It doesn’t sound as if it’s well planned what she is doing.
I was thinking that Veronica, a woman on her own, in a tent.I hope she stays safe.Good luck to her.
She must be lost, because this time last week she was in Kendal.
All the leaves are brown and albet the skys are grey
Lisette is some lady I’m full of admiration what a girl

Good for you John… you are very brave going out in the bitter cold weather… I’m not even going ‘ up street’ this morning.
