Its Back

Its Back
It’s back, Veronica’s least favourite fountain.
All painted and polished as good as new.

This fountain looked cheap and nasty before it was refurbished. It now looks, if possible, even cheaper and nastier.

What was wrong with it, had it been vandalised?

It does look brand spanking new indeed. Was it always that red oxide colour ?

Lets hope the feral kids don't climb all over it and damage it again

Let’s hope the numbskulls don’t get at it! I suppose it needs to be seen in the ‘flesh’ to appreciate it …. But …well…. Not to my taste really. Thanks Dennis for showing the fountain in its ( for now) pristine condition…

Maybe we should have replaced it with a statue of Liar Johnson, at least the pigeons would have something to poo on!

With the greatest of respect fellas I think they should have consulted Veronica before they painted it she would have done a better job.

Blame the Victorians. It's an exact replica of the original. I like it :)

Nice photo Dennis, could they not put hidden cameras around somewhere, to catch the vandals. But on second thoughts, People have security cameras, and are broken in, and their Still not caught.

Yes we could also have statues of 'Sir' Starmer and Rayner as well........as they are so truthful NOT.

I think the colour looks lovely, it reminds me of the colour of a old Wigan corporation bus.

I've changed my mind about this fountain . It's received so much stick from the public that I'm starting to feel a fondness for it . It may look a bit of a carbuncle on first acquaintance but the more I look at it the more it makes me smile . Pity has given way to a deep respect for it's individuality .
There is absolutely nothing else like it anywhere . It's unique and it belongs here , in Wigan park just as much as Sir Francis' polished shoe .

The more the merrier Jennie, let's have politicians of all colours in there.
