Walked past there lots of times in the early hours after a " last drink" in the Queens Hotel.

It’s unbelievable a building so old exits and is still lived in. I always think of the deeds and how interesting they would be to read. A lovely photo…..

What a Lovely photo, Dennis, taken in the sunshine and with the St. George's flag flying. We go past there regularly, but in the car, so we are past in seconds. Your photo shows it at such a good angle that we can see how lovely it really is. "The Queens" has been made into apartments now, Broady., as you probably know.

Irene . Its not technically a St Georges Cross - which would be a simple red cross on white. There is clearly a white circle/shield in the middle with blue figures and something yellow underneath it. Anyone know what this is ?

Hi Irene,
The Queens Hotel was actually converted into two houses one of which has recently been sold for £300,000. Cheers.

Dennis do you have to get permission from the owner to take a photo of their house?

We held our meetings of the Foresters at the Queens Hotel years ago. pity so many pubs have closed down !

There would be a lot of unhappy house sellers if that was the case, Linma.
As far as I know, you can photograph anything you see whilst standing in a public place. Don’t forget that there are hundreds of thousands of CCTV cameras all over this country. I don’t recall any of them asking me for permission to take my photo.
Having said that, I would not go so near as to photograph any thing that could not be seen by any pedestrian walking down the public footpath.
I’m not out to cause offence to anyone.

Linma, if you take a photo from a public place (ie. not on their property), you do not need permission.
