Wing Doors
The DeLorean - 1975 - was pretty, but with gull-wing doors, totally impractical. This is also impractical. That is before the issue of electric charging points, the cost of these vehicles, the manufacture of the batteries (not Green) and the disposal of them when past their use - the older version of Nissan Leafs are coming up to their battery disposal date.
For buzzing to the shops - ok. For longer runs, 250 miles plus, a wing and a prayer. Price may come down, but nowhere near what it needs to be yet.
Our neighbours on our Caravan Park have a car similar to this, and I can remember about four years ago my then nine-year-old grandson Oliver watching open-mouthed through our caravan window as the car opened up and closed as on the above photo....to a little lad it was like a giant version of the "transformer" toy which he had in his hand. "I'm getting one of those when I'm seventeen, Grandma" he said, in awe. "Oh that's lovely", I said", "I hope you'll take me for a ride in it". "COURSE I will, Grandma", he assured me, "I'll take you to Blackpool if you're still alive"! He's 13 next week and I'm still here so only four years to go!
I presume it is only the back doors that open like this??
Aww, that's a lovely story Irene, you only have to wait another four years till he can drive. Ps I think the wing doors are ludicrous, not practical. xx
By that time Irene - it might be able to fly! ;o)
As these green eletric cars are now getting wear and tear repais , folk are find out that they aint as cheap as they think. In the life of car they arnt value for money and the gov has hood winked every one again.
I'd rather have that pink camper van. I bet it outlives the Tesla.
Is that your blue flask?
The more I look at this photo - it looks like there's a 'hoodie ''driving dressed in white!
Apologies if this is repeated. It looks like a 'hoodie driver' in the seat dressed in white!
It does look like a driver in a white hoodie !
I hope he's not pinched it Elizabeth - and he doesn't know how to work the doors!
