Photo-a-Day (Thursday, 24th March, 2022)
Langtree Hall Farm
School holidays and field full of potatoes ready to be harvested by hand.
That is one great vista Poet, very atmospheric & poetic..... excuse the pun......& the sepia touch just adds to it....
Reminds me of the dream episode in the 'Wizard of Oz' before everything changes to technicolour. It's beautiful...
I was down at Hic Bibi bridge yesterday, had to push my bike most of the way
I love this photo. I know I often comment that some of our p-a-ds would makegood book-covers for Murder/Mysteries but I can see it in this one, with the rather spooky bare branches overhanging the landscape. I think the sepia actually adds to the atmosphere too. Brilliant, Poet!
Nice one Dave, i knew whose pic it was before i saw your name or the title. I shall be going down 'The rocky road to Dublin' aka Langtree Lane at 12-30 to the nursery.
Oklahoma on the plains Poet, you are really into these filter type shots nowadays, brilliant.
Potatoes weren't "harvested by hand" Linma, they were harvested by a plough with potato blades fitted, then the potatoes would be picked up and bagged by hand.
You’re right Bruce, bottom of the class for me.
He knows some stuff that Bruce . It's nice to see the intelligentsia engaging with us common folk without a trace of superciliousness.
