Market Place

Lovely busy photo, but where have the "whats-its" gone?
How the face of Wigan could change when the Galleries development takes place. lets hope the low flying bombers target the "chuggers" or the alleged homeless people dotted around the town centre.
Are they Lancaster's?
I wouldn't like to be a recipient of their loads. They should never have closed the underground toilets - a good place to scuttle to escape. ;o)
A nice bust town centre. And a nice shadow selfie bottom left!
They used to say it was rather lucky
To get your head all splattered and mucky
With droppings from the common pigeon
Who bombs the folk with such precision
And rules the sky so wild and feral
Who makes you reach for a paper towel
To clean and wipe the mess he's done
Even though by now he'll be long gone .
I can see five of those Gulls in your photo Dennis, they're becoming quite numerous now and seem to have replaced the common Gulls you'd once often see. There are always plenty to be seen swooping down pecking up bits of dropped food around Tesco car park too and in competition with Rats coming from the river.
Looks like a third bomber has found it's target (see the Wigan News sign) and maybe a fourth and fifth in front of the galleries.
A veritable squadron, or am I seeing things?
Erm a nice BUSY town centre :)
Wigan through history was a proud and loyal town until this genoration of back handed taking backshees councilors,They need to be checked out to see by an independant group and then named and shamed
Well done Dennis, and Poet as well ( liked) and Veronica, your comment brought a smile.
annemarie, it’s the system the town is, so-called, “loyal” to that is to blame. Elected councillors are weak, in so much as they have to do what they are told to do. Wigan councillors don’t know whose side they are on. Once they are elected they shape-shift and forget their ward residents who voted for them.
I'm sure, annemarie, that if you offer the evidence of the corruption you allege the Police would love to prosecute the offenders.
