Just love this one, it reminds me of when I was a school girl.
Is that a duck house I can see outside of the sunflower cottage ?

Very pleasant . I wonder if they're claiming expenses on that duck house.

That's nice. The light is lovely.

I always think sunflowers are quite ugly, apart from their colour.

A nice cheerful picture, Sunflowers are a favourite of mine to paint...

Its nice when you see people looking after our wildlife.

What a lovely homely row of houses....just up my street. I love places like that with higgledy-piggledy back yards and people growing a few flowers or maybe vegetables, and hanging washing out whilst the sun is on the yard. It reminds me of that old song, "Home Town, where the garden trees are shady, where Our Edie was a lady.....", (Edie being my granddaughter!).

IRENS, plus they don't have a front garden, they step from the front door on to the pavement, just like yourself.

Comment by: Roy on 13th October 2021 at 20:34

Sorry, IRENE !!

Comment by: irene roberts on 13th October 2021 at 21:13

Don't apologise. Roy. I have lived in a house where the front door steps out onto the pavement all my life, so have never known what it is to have a garden. What you've never had you never miss. I grow a few potatoes and tomatoes in the backyard and am like a child in a toffee-shop when I pick them! To be content with what you have is to be rich.

Comment by: Mick on 13th October 2021 at 22:51

Irene, Roy is only saying not only they have little higgledy piggledy back yards they also don't have a front garden just like you.

Comment by: Veronica on 14th October 2021 at 09:24

Irene, it's much nicer to see a tidy well swept 'front' than a neglected front garden. Plus give me a walled, stone flagged back yard any day. Anyway these days they are called a courtyard... there's posh for you. Easier to look after with tubs and pots!

Comment by: Roy on 14th October 2021 at 09:48

Irene, Mick is correct, i was apologising for misspelling your name, i typed IRENS. For a lot of my life i stepped onto the footpath from the front door, for the last 20 years i have lived in a flat so i'm still doing the same.

Comment by: irene roberts on 14th October 2021 at 11:19

Roy, I realised the apology was for mis-spelling my name as soon as I had pressed "send" on my reply! How daft am I?! Still, no harm done!

Comment by: Roy on 14th October 2021 at 15:00

Correct Irene, that is, to no harm done, not to how daft am i !!!
