Wigan Lane
Photo: Dennis Seddon (Nikon D7500)
Some folk think they are posh living in fancy houses, but for me the three new houses on the right have been built to close to one another.
If those trees on the right were not there, you would see our house.
That's a bright and cheerful scene. A good day for drying the washing. The trees are just beginning to change colours as well.
Mercedes, swimming pool, room for a pony? (Oh yes....it's there on the left!) And Hyacinth's "smalls" blowing in the wind! "Come away from the window, Richard....there's that young Dennis Seddon taking one of his photos!"
Cannot pinpoint the prominent black and white house. Is it actually on Wigan lane?
Agree with Mick about the closeness of the new property.
Irene and Veronica I just love your comments, so cheering and positive, please keep them coming and don’t ever change!
This site is opposite Mere Oaks - the Wigan/ Standish boundary stone sits between the older black and white house and the new properties.
If my memory serves me right, the developers demolished a perfectly good large house in order to crowd five (or six) 'executive homes' onto the site. I think it caused a row at the time.
That’s probably why they’ve left them trees there Mick.
That made me laugh, DTease!! xx
Got my bearings now! Thanks Rev David.
Nothing to do with the picture but Happy Birthday Irene. Have a good day.
You made me laugh Irene reading your comment. As Pod fan says keep them coming, you and Veronica.Nice photo Dennis.
Thanks Broady! Dennis won't mind you going off the subject. I got a beautiful painting from Veronica. What a talented lady! xxxxx
Good photo Dennis ,very clear and sharp, nice camera that .
Still trying to get the hang of it David….it may take a while. Lots more bells and buttons to play with.
Nothing quite compares with getting the washing pegged out on a breezy day - life really is a white knuckle ride for some of us!!
Lovely to see Wigan Lane from a different angle. Thanks Dennis.
Your right Dennis, cameras are very versatile today, and give stunning results, like your photo shows ,can even see the cable from the pole.
