Not many shops like this one left now, were is Arkwright? Could that be him? Loved this sitcom.I wonder if Gladys lives across the road.These kind of shops were little goldmine's

Ordering stock, taking delivery, shelf stacking, insurance, rent/rates, accounts, checking for under-age boozers, long hours, maintaining a smile - not easy.
But shops like this crucial to a community.
We used to have one like this at the end of the road, they were great little shops in the 50s/60s.

He's well-prepared for the quiet periods in the day with his book and crossword!
This shop been in the lads family for donkeys years.
I grew up next door to this chap on Blenheim Road. Same class at school etc. Good to see him :)
