Mandarin Duck
Lovely photo Mick, Aix galericulata - male of the species. Originally from the far east but now settled in the British Isles. For me, one of the most beautiful of the duck squadron, typically much more colourful than the female.
Lovely colourings on the Duck. Mandarin is a perfect name.
Lovely Mick, but how do you peel ‘em.
Nice piccy, nice duck and I don't think there is any outcry about these ducks taking over, ousting native ducks.
Completely quackers.
The sharped eyed amongst you will have notice that the duck is short of some of its webbing on his right foot.
I like the way he stood up on that small stone and said now take that camera man.
You can see it all happening on this video.
