Wow, beautiful colours, Autumn is almost with us. I don't mind Autumn I think it's a lovely time of year. Thanks Dave.

I imagine that an artist would be proud to be able to paint a background like that.
Great photo Dave.

Lovely photo, something so deep and secret about it.

That is beautiful Dave. Contrasts of green with light coming through & sun drawing you through the dark path. I know I am waxing lyrical but it is beautiful. A great image to remember in the dark days of winter.

Thanks Dave one of my favourite places, lovely scenery I have always loved Haigh Hall since being a young child.

What a lovely photo Dave. I have to admit I love Autumn; the darkening nights and the toadstools and the conkers. I love to see the leaves starting to change colour, and nothing can beat a sunny September afternoon.

One word. STUNNING.

Well composed shot, Oy. The colours and lighting are magnificent.

Irene - I don't know about Wigan but down here in Somerset we had the first conkers in July.

We also have just about finished picking our Autumn fruiting raspberries which started also in July. 20 years ago these Autumn raspberries would start to fruit in mid August and go on until late October. The same thing happens with our blackcurrant The soft fruit season has literally moved 6 weeks forward in the last 20 years. Is this also happening back in Wigan ?

I think some things are definitely earlier Carolaen. Daffodils, too, are almost over in April these days, their heyday being March now.

Summer happened during April and May, since then it has been Autumn.
