Photo-a-Day (Sunday, 23rd August, 2020)
Bamfurlong Police Station
That is a very unusual image, the curved roof, brick & the sunflowers. Made a good photo Mick.
I don't think the Police Station is in operation today. I think its closed.
My friend took me to see those sunflowers only last week. I had no idea they were there and it was a lovely surprise. xxx
A lovely regiment of sunflowers.
The local birds will be well fed come autumn, if they aren't harvested before then that is.
The two in the centre of the front row seem to be getting along nicely - My name's Daisy. What's yours?
Irene was you with your very good friend Geoff, and did he take any photos of you posing next to them.
Mick, I've got to ask you--- when you leave home looking for somewhere to photograph do you have somewhere in mind or are you a Coddiwompler . It appears to me you turn up all over the Wigan area, you must cover some mileage on that bike of yours. I like the photo and no doubt the Goldfinch will like the sunflower hearts for them once harvested.
I just follow my nose Walt
No Mick, I was with a female friend who lives near me and we just drove past the sunflowers and back home. I haven't seen Geoff for a long time although I keep in touch with him and have just got him a card for his birthday later this week.
That's Coddiwompling Mick I do it all the time, walk wherever my legs take me no particular destination. Keep going !
beautiful photo,I love sunflowers.I grow them.My tallest has been 7ft. But sadly not this year with the high winds and heavy rain.
