Misty Morning
I love winter trees silhouetted against the sky. It's the interesting,crazy shapes of the trunks and branches reaching upwards and outwards towards the light...Nature's wonderful.
Bare trees and yet a feeling of Spring on the way. A lovely, peaceful scene.
I see bendy trees
A very rural scene Poet, thank you.
He's gone, now, - our lad of rhyme -
Yet he shared this tattered bower While easing much my weary plod, by his kindly muse for furrowed rows, oaknuts bled and greens, as yet, unseen.
So clear, now, are others deemed;
Timely birds, insects spry, charming husks when closely bound,
And early dance, by snowdrops' mound.
The last line of my verse should be 'Come dance for us, fair snowdrop mound', instead.
It's inclusion would have kept our rhyming lad firmly in the picture, especially after him having kindly lit my way so early in the verse - had it scribbled down down before me.
I greatly enjoyed this walk. The dawn chorus a fugue of great tits and yellowhammers.
Yes ,it felt quite spring like.
Thanks for the kind replies and to Phil's charming embellishment. A delight to read as always.
