Haigh Hall
All change at the hall now, wonder what it will look like this time next year.
It would be a good idea for Wigan council to hand over to Boris, he would get it back on its feet.
I like that view but feels a bit chilly! xx
It looks empty, have the interlopers left, no fancy cars and plastic plant pots, even the lamp-post is missing it's lamp! The mystery deepens....
Mick. Wasn't the Hall sold off and is now a privately owned hotel ?
Has Contessa moved out?
You can see some of the work Contessa did on this video, showing old wallpaper, lavatory, fireplaces and even a roof top views

The Hall is a very stately building, with the fog around it, it looks like a grand mansion out an Agatha Christie novel..
I like the chilly view as well, Irene. And it's a mystery as to why Granada hadn't used the 'Hall for their version of 'Holmes' The Creeping Man - the settings are almost identical.
It turned out that the ageing Professor Presbury had concocted a potion from the glands of a monkey, and which had been nicked on his behalf by two of his shady chums. Poor chap had ended up swinging like a monkey from a treetop.
It's scandalous that folks who had booked wedding receptions and paid Contessa have hit a brick wall in getting their money refunded.

That's a lovely atmospheric photo....regardless of who, now, owns it.
Well done, Harry.
